MSCHF x INRI x Air Max 97 ‘Jesus Shoes’ Custom

Designed with the help of Brooklyn marketing agency MSCHF, the MSCHF x INRI x Air Max 97 ‘Jesus Shoes’ features a unique construction on the classic silhouette. Built with mesh and leather, the shoe’s upper appears in white and light blue, highlighted by a gold crucifix lace jewel. The left heel strip includes MSCHF branding, while the right shoe includes ‘INRI,’ which means Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum, which was inscribed on the cross. Matthew 14:25, which mentions Jesus’ ability to walk on water, gets a callout on the lateral mudguard, and underfoot, 60cc of holy water is worked into the Max Air unit, providing cushioning and allowing the wearer to walk on water.
